I had the opportunity to write a BlackBerry software development tutorial recently for IBM’s Developerworks.  If you have not had the opportunity, check out http://ibm.com/developerworks for a very rich set of articles and tutorials on all manner of development topics.  The tutorials are written in a manner that you can either follow along in a step by step fashion or just read through the text to gain an understanding of the topic.  I like to describe them as something you can read “over lunch”.
